About Me
My name is Alicia Strauss. Ever since I was little I’ve had a passion for working with animals, especially dogs.
I started volunteering part time at Ash Farm Kennels when I was 14 years old. I have now worked full time at the kennels for 10 years, working with a variety of different breeds, sizes and temperament.
Canine hydrotherapy is such a rewarding job knowing I’ve had part in helping out my clients and being on the journey to recovery with them. My boss has always told me ‘if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life’ – I can say I love what I do!
In 2010 I went to Reaseheath College to study Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management.
In 2020 I achieved my Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals at Hawksmoor College.
I’m a member of NARCH (National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists)
I have a beautiful Sharpei x Jack Russell called Ozzy who is 14 years old and will always be my first baby boy. We have added another addition to our fur family, a whippet called Rudi. You will mostly likely see him in his bed or in the garden watching everyone go past
I have 2 children, Theo and Grace who are both a handful (more so than the furbabies!) but also love the water as much as I do!
